It’s the foreseeable consequence of his unprovoked commerce world battle. Eastbound shipments from China, his greatest goal and supply of 40% of America’s seaborne imports, are being cancelled. Some importers are switching to suppliers in locations granted reprieve from his “reciprocal” tariffs. Many are simply ready out the storm. On April twenty ninth the boss of the Port of Los Angeles, America’s greatest, predicted that imports on the facility would fall by no less than 10% within the second half of 2025.
