Wildfires rage in Europe as millions swelter under record heat

Wildfires swept components of Europe on Tuesday as document temperatures, in some areas above 40°C, gripped the continent. Scientists warn that local weather change is fuelling extra frequent and intense heatwaves, leaving areas from Spain to Turkey battling blazes and ordering evacuations.
