The US army has carried out a wave of airstrikes in opposition to dozens of Islamic State targets throughout central Syria, US officers mentioned, in retaliation for a lethal assault on American personnel. The strikes comply with President Donald Trump’s pledge to reply after two US troopers and a civilian interpreter had been killed in an assault final weekend close to Palmyra.
