Plaid Cymru have received the by-election within the Senedd seat of Caerphilly for the primary time.

The Welsh nationalist get together secured 15,960 votes – and candidate Lindsay Whittle cried because the outcome was introduced.

Mr Whittle is 72 years previous and had stood as a Plaid candidate 13 instances since 1983. He’ll now maintain the seat till the Welsh Meeting maintain nationwide elections final yr.

This by-election was extensively considered a two-horse race between Plaid Cymru and Reform UK, and the outcome marks a substantial blow for Nigel Farage.
