Wagner Group leaves Mali, replaced by Moscow-backed Africa Corps

The Russian-backed Wagner Group, which spent greater than three years combating Islamic extremists in Mali, can be changed by the Moscow-run Africa Corps. Within the final decade, Mali has relied on an estimated 2,000 mercenaries, in response to US figures, in its battle towards an insurgency by armed teams that embrace these linked to al Qaeda and the Islamic State group.
