The US below President Donald Trump slid to 57th place within the 2025 World Press Freedom Index printed by Paris-based media rights group Reporters With out Borders (RSF) Friday. The annual indicator put press freedom throughout the globe at an “unprecedented low”, triggered largely by financial strain.
