Lara Trump mentioned her father-in-law, President Donald Trump, just lately made her consider “there’s extra to” the rumors about extraterrestrial life and that he’ll ship a speech about it on the “proper time.”
On the “Pod Power One” podcast Wednesday, host Miranda Devine requested the Trump member of the family if she thinks the president is “about to make an announcement on UFOs” after former President Barack Obama said that aliens are “real” over the weekend. (Obama later clarified that he’d seen no evidence of that in his time within the White Home.)
“What’s humorous is, we’ve type of requested my father-in-law about this, ’trigger we’re like, ‘Effectively, what have you learnt?’” responded Trump, who’s married to the president’s son Eric. “Miranda, all of us need to know concerning the UFOs. All of us need to know what’s happening.”
“And he performed a little bit coy with us,” she continued. “And in order that in fact led us to consider — Eric and I had been like, ‘Oh my gosh, if he received’t even, like, totally inform us, possibly there’s extra to it.’”
Trump later added, “I feel my father-in-law’s truly mentioned it — that there’s some speech that he has that, I assume on the proper time, and I don’t know when the appropriate time is, he’s gonna get away and speak about [it]. And it has to do with possibly some form of extraterrestrial life, so to talk.”
Noting that she considers herself a “numbers individual,” Trump instructed Devine that it might be “fairly wild” to suppose that we’re alone within the universe.
“I don’t have any data. I really feel like there could be data on the market, and hopefully it’s going to have the ability to be instructed to all of us very quickly. We’ll see,” she added.
Devine then pressed Trump on whether or not she thinks the president “acts as if he believes there are UFOs.”
“I imply, he’s type of been very cool about it. … The way in which he says issues, they make a distinction typically,” she replied.
Her father-in-law has “been a little bit totally different about” the subject of alien life, she mentioned, “So, it makes me personally suppose that there’s one thing that he is aware of that the remainder of us don’t know.”
Whereas the president has alluded to receiving details about the existence of UFOs over the years, he has additionally expressed skepticism about extraterrestrials, telling podcaster Joe Rogan in 2024 that he has never been “a believer.”
