Prince Frederik of Luxembourg died on March 1, his household wrote in an emotional statement final week. He was 22.
The younger prince, who’s the son of Prince Robert of Luxembourg and Princess Julie of Nassau, was recognized with POLG mitochondrial illness at 14. The life expectancy of somebody with the genetic illness is brief, and the dysfunction presently has no treatment.
