July 17 (Reuters) – Olympic ski cross bronze medallist Audun Gronvold has died on the age of 49 after being struck by lightning throughout a cabin journey, the Norwegian Ski Federation mentioned on Wednesday.
Gronvold was rushed to hospital and acquired remedy for his accidents however died late on Tuesday, it added.
Born in Hamar, Gronvold received bronze medals in males’s ski cross on the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and 2005 World Ski Championships.
He was a nationwide crew athlete in alpine snowboarding from the 1993-94 to the 2003-04 season.
